Our Associates : Nick Wilkinson
Nick Wilkinson is an experienced business manager with a strong technology and marketing background in global energy businesses. He has extensive organisational development and commercial experience derived from the establishment and management of energy sector B2B business units, most notably in global Marine, LPG and Lubricants.
Most recently, Nick worked as Strategy, Planning and Performance Manager for BP’s Refining’s Technology and Safety, and Operational Excellence teams. He also worked as Senior Fuels Advisor, developing strategies for gasoline, diesel and bio road transport fuels. He represented BP Manufacturing and Marketing on the World Business Council Sustainable Mobility project, in particular working closely with the International Energy Agency and others on modelling future fuels and transport systems. Over the last 6 years he has been deeply involved as Special Advisor for refining and fuels marketing in the development of BP Group Long Term Technology Strategy.
Nick joined BP Research in 1980 in the New Technology division. He has progressed through several upstream and downstream commercial and technology roles and has spent time in Germany, Australia and USA. He has also been involved in business development in China.
